This little sterling silver star has been enamelled by hand using vitreous (glass) enamel. Vitreous enamel is applied in several layers, each layer requires firing in high temperature before achieving the desired effect. The colours used here are ivory and sea blue with a lovely glossy finish.

The slider bead on the sterling silver curb chain makes it adjustable to any length up to 24" (61cm) making it very versatile and perfect for layering with other jewellery.

The star measures 12mm across and is 2.3mm deep.
